Installation, scanning, the firewall, your licence, and how to switch the plugin off in a hurry — explained step by step.
The articles below are still being written. Search will appear here once there is something to search.
Installation
Get the plugin
IronGuardWP installs like any other WordPress plugin: download the zip from your account, upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, activate it, then paste in your licence key.
Key required
The plugin needs a licence key before it does anything. Without one it installs and then sits inactive: it cannot reach your account, so it fetches no malware definitions and scans nothing. Free issues a key at $0 with no card, so there is no reason to run without one.
The download and your key both live in your IronGuardWP account on app.ironguardwp.com — the download button opens it, and signing in there gets you both. The key itself is issued by the $0 Whop checkout, the same one behind “Get Started Free”.
